About SANFRI-VSP

The Asia-Pacific Network for Sustainable Forest Management and Rehabilitation (APFNet) initiated the Sino-ASEAN Network of Forestry Research Institutes (SANFRI) in 2018 to strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of forestry research in ASEAN economies and China through information exchange, capacity development and collaboration.

The SANFRI Visiting Scholar Program(VSP) aims to support competent young researchers in conducting scientific research and academic exchanges in sustainable forest management and rehabilitation. The Yunnan Academy of Forestry and Grassland (YAFG) of China hosts the Program and offers scholars 3 or 6-month visits to YAFG to join research programs in the fields of silviculture, forest ecology, biological engineering, forest product processing, economic forestry, forest pest and disease management, and desertification control, etc.

-a technical report on research conducted during the visit.
