Asia-Pacific Network for Sustainable Forest Management and Rehabilitation
Capacity Building Scholarship Programme

Scholarship Programme

Launched in 2010, the APFNet scholarship programme aims to attract and encourage more young talented foresters in the Asia Pacific to complete Master’s degree study or to conduct research in China, to discuss and exchange experience and lessons learned with fellow students and researchers, to learn more that practically helps with their present/future career, and to feel a real China and its unique culture.

The study or research funded by the Scholarship Programme is currently based in China, where achievements on forests management and protection contribute much to the regional forest cover increase over the past decades. China’s expertise and experiences will be drawn upon to design the course and research curriculum.

As the host university, Beijing Forestry University offers Master’s programs in forestry taught in English. Other universities will be involved in the scholarship program at a later stage.
