Youth Students Green Plan Contest Winners Announced

Beijing China, November 10, 2011. APFNet today announced the winners of its youth students green plan contest at the 1st Youth Students’ Green Forum, which was held as a partner event during the Asia-Pacific Forestry Week. The winning green plans were selected from nearly 150 submissions created by colleague and university students all over China, who responded to the opportunity to help promote green ideal on and off campus.

With the theme of "Green Idea", the Student Green Forum aims to help the cultivation of innovative talent of youth students and promote creative thinking on solutions to challenges facing us today in forest protection and management.

All top three winners will receive certificates and prize money for the future development of their projects.  Today's announcement of the winners wraps up the initial launch of the Green Idea campaign, which started in September this year.

The winning submissions are: First place, Startup marketing plan for Beijing Green & Foison Co. Ltd, by Liu Xiaochang from Beijing Forestry University; Second place, Green Flow Project, by SIFE team from Nanjing University.

"This contest provides a unique way for our team to become a part of a green campaign. I would like to thank my team member for their great ideal which makes our project more operational," said Su judong, the team leader of SIFE team.

"As sustainability is becoming more important to our planet today, we want to draw the students' attention and efforts to the green issues, and also provide an opportunity to stimulate their creativity by competing," said by Mr. Lu De, APFNet’s deputy executive.
