To strengthen the effectiveness and efficiency of forestry research in ASEAN economies and China through information exchange, capacity development and collaboration, APFNet launched the Visiting Scholar Programme under SANFRI to support highly capable young researchers from other members of SANFRI to conduct scientific research and academic exchanges in the field of sustainable forest management and rehabilitation. 

 

Yunnan Academy of Forestry and Grassland (YAFG) is a scientific research institution focusing on forestry research and promotion of forest-related technologies. As a member of the SANFRI mechanism, YAFG is the host of the Visiting Scholar Programme.
