To advance forestry research by facilitating collaboration among forestry research institutes and to contribute to sustainable forest management among ASEAN economies and China, APFNet established a Young Scholar Team under SANFRI to cultivate an international team of young scholars with a strong academic foundation, independent innovation capacity, clear development direction and willingness to continuously contribute to forest restoration and sustainable management in the Asia-Pacific region. The APFNet Small Research Grant is funded by APFNet as one of the key actions of SANFRI to support Young Scholar Team members to translate their innovative research ideas into concrete research activities.
