Goal

To explore and implement the potential applications of the tools developed in Phases I and II, ensuring their effective utilization in developing forest adaptation strategies across the Asia-Pacific region. This will contribute to enhancing the health, productivity, and climate resilience of forest ecosystems.

Objectives

Summarize and synthesize climate niche models and their projections for 100 key species and four forest ecosystems.

Maintain and update ClimateAP to ensure the provision of timely and high-quality climate data.

Disseminate tools and their applications in forest management to support climate change adaptation.

Expected outputs

A peer-reviewed publication summarizing climate niche models for 15 species and 4 ecosystems, including a framework for managing multiple species.

An updated and functional ClimateAP with the latest climate projections and a demonstration of its superiority over other models.

Development of an ArcGIS-based web platform for better data accessibility and dissemination of model outputs through policy briefs and presentations at international conferences.
