Strengthen the skills and knowledge of forestry officers in forest fire prevention and control.
A fully operational forest fire monitoring and alarm system installed in Luang Namtha Province.
Enhanced capacity of forestry staff in fire prevention and management.
The project successfully developed and installed a comprehensive forest fire monitoring and alarming system in Luang Namtha Province, providing real-time data for early detection and response. By leveraging modern technology, the system improved the efficiency of fire patrols, minimized response times, and significantly reduced fire-related damages to forest ecosystems. In parallel, intensive training programs were conducted for forestry officers, equipping them with advanced fire prevention strategies and monitoring skills. These efforts strengthened institutional capacity, enabling local authorities to implement proactive fire management practices and better protect critical forest areas.
