Forest Management Demonstrations:
Construction of a 1072-mu forest management experimental forest in 2020, implementing pruning, growth tending, and varying intensities of thinning experiments primarily in larch and red pine plantations.
Construction of a 1008-mu forest management experimental forest in 2021, implementing light penetration tending, growth tending, and varying intensities of thinning experiments primarily in larch plantations.
Utilization of forest understory for the cultivation of edible mushrooms such as the giant puffball mushroom, aiding poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.
Construction of New Forest Experience and Natural Education Facilities:
New natural education campsite, consisting of 20 Mongolian yurts with diameters of 5-8 meters, including the main building, interior equipment procurement, and external environmental facilities.
New natural education activity classroom, Mongolian yurt structure, 25 meters in diameter, providing a venue for indoor cultural activities and natural education.
Enhancement of Forest Experience Base Infrastructure:
Enhancements to the forest experience base infrastructure with the addition of a new wastewater treatment plant and outdoor public toilets. These improvements are aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and accommodating an increasing number of visitors and researchers.
Enhancement of the Asia-Pacific Forest Town Landscape Quality:
This project involves significant greening efforts and beautification of the Asia-Pacific forest town. This includes planting native flora, creating landscaped pathways, and improving recreational facilities to enhance visitor experiences and environmental education.
