To contribute to the rehabilitation of degraded ecosystems and the restoration of barren land, improving environmental conditions and livelihoods along the southern coast of Peru, while mitigating the negative effects of climate change and enhancing the availability of food, water, and energy.
To propose and develop, through a participatory approach, an experimental productive agroforestry system on degraded/barren lands to improve the local economy and mitigate the effects of climate change.
To connect strategic stakeholders and partners in production and value chains, focusing not only on reforestation and agroforestry actions but also on significantly revitalizing local economies and promoting well-being across the involved communities.
Establishment of a network of 20 pilot plot units (modules), each covering 5 hectares, dedicated to conservation, reforestation, and agroforestry on degraded lands.
Design of a production chain from cultivation/cropping to the final consumer.
Establishment of a small experimental unit for adding value to non-timber forest products.
Development of a large-scale project proposal for the rehabilitation and recovery of degraded ecosystems and barren lands.
