为应对林业领域转型挑战,亚太林业教育协调机制通过专业化教育项目和课程体系,帮助未来林业工作者提升综合能力。机制立足区域协作,着眼长远发展,共商林业高等教育的战略定位,共筑可持续发展的人才基石。
机制由亚太森林组织(APFNet)倡议发起,于2010年首届亚太地区林业院校长会议上提出,并于2011年第二届会议上正式成立。作为区域林业教育合作与交流平台,其宗旨是通过加强合作和开展协作活动,促进亚太地区林业教育发展,服务于亚太森林组织推动亚太地区森林恢复与可持续管理的目标。
AP-FECM is open to all relevant institutions (higher educational institutions, vocational training institutes, intergovernmental organizations, and NGOs) and now has 58 member universities/institutes/organizations.
So far, six meetings have been convened to promote effective exchange among members and partners.A set of 14 online SFM courses have been jointly developed by APFECM member universities and has benefited tens of thousands of forestry students and global learners.
AP-FECM is governed by the Steering Committee of 13 member affiliations, supported by the Chair and two Co-Chairs. The executive office, currently hosted by the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Forestry, leads daily operational work and event/activity organization, as well as maintenance of the AP-FECM website.
